My family just got finished carving our jack-o-lantern. This year, they came out wonderful.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_557\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-557\" style=\"width: 474px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hentschels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/20141029_185345.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-557\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hentschels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/20141029_185345-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Beth and Marlene setting aside the pumpkin seeds\" width=\"474\" height=\"266\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hentschels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/20141029_185345-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.hentschels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/20141029_185345-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 474px) 100vw, 474px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-557\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Beth and Marlene setting aside the pumpkin seeds<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Here is the recipe that I use for our pumpkin seeds:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 &#8211; 2 cups rinsed and dried pumpkin seeds<\/li>\n<li>2 Tbsp olive oil<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 tsp garlic salt<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp Worcestershire sauce<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preheat oven to 275\u2109.\u00a0Put all the ingredients into a gallon Ziploc bag, and massage\u00a0\/ shake until the seeds are completely coated. Spread the seeds in a thin layer on a cookie sheet and put in the oven. After 30 minutes, take the sheet out and stir the seeds with a spatula. Bake for another 15 minutes and stir again, then bake again for a final 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>I tend to spray the cookie sheet with a very thin coat of cooking spray before laying out the seeds, and then again each time I stir them. It keeps them from sticking and getting too dry.<\/p>\n<p>Not all the kids like eating pumpkin seeds.
