From what I'm seeing, your garden-variety Daewoo DVD-5800, which is what I have,
just doesn't read DVD+Rs. I'm working on it. However, when I load it using PowerDVD, I do appear to get both video and sound.

...they're amazing! Nothing beats being able
to watch PGSM on my TV... The picture quality is fantastic, and the DVDs played through smoothly without any weird glitches
or pauses.

i'm like disc 5 and so
far no real problems. the audio was gone for like 5 seconds during a
preview so no big and there was minor skipping at the end of ep 10 but i'm
sure that was just my dad's dvd player acting up.
