Content of Lesson 4

Quiz #3 (on content from Lesson 3)

First, we looked at a map that showed how to get to my house from the church. We discussed different terms that are used in giving directions:

Street
North, South, East, West
Left, Right

Then we read Dialog #1. A couple of students volunteered to read it to each other. After they were done, I went over it with the entire class to make sure everyone understood it. Once everyone felt comfortable with the vocabulary, various pairs of students volunteered to act out the parts at the front of the room.

Next, we read through the food vocabulary together.

Lastly, we read a story about a trip to the grocery store. Various students would take turns reading a paragraph, and then we would discuss the meaning of what they had just read.
