Content of Lesson 2

Quiz #1 (on content from Lesson 1)

First, we went over the map of the United States, and discussed which state we live in.

Next, we discussed the calendar. We filled in the days of the week at the top of the calendar worksheet, and then learned how to express various date-related concepts. Things we learned to say:

What is the date today?
Today is Sunday, June 12, 2005.
What will the date be in one week?
What was the date two weeks ago?
What was the date four months ago?
What will the date be in two years?
What was the date last Friday?

After the calendar exercise, we worked together to fill in a simple form.

Next, we went over a short list of colors together.

Lastly, we worked together on learning clothing vocabulary.
